It’s just as easy to go to Scarborough Town Centre (STC) from this hotel, so I think I could go there for dinner from now on if I go out.  Tomorrow (Tuesday August 9th), I am going to see Jason, my chiropractor, for a treatment and to get a pair of orthotics ordered.  So, while I’m doing that, I could also shop for a pair of running shoes and a new novel to read and then see if I can locate the travel agency at the STC “Flight Centre” and make an appointment to see someone there soon.  I must start planning my European trip!

As it turns out, I owe Sentinel Storage in Ajax my storage fee for August and for the next five months (until January 2017).  I must also pick up the rest of my prescription that I’d ordered in Oshawa last week - I have to do that this week.  Dave says he’ll help me by driving me to Sentinel Storage and to the Shoppers Drug Mart store in Oshawa.  So, I’ll have to do my shopping for shoes and a novel this Thursday or Friday.  After that, I am getting myself ready to go back up to Brent’s place in Janetville on Sunday August 14th to do one more stint of babysitting James this summer.

Living in a hotel is pretty good – you get maid service every day.  But, I have to go out for lunch (if I want to eat) and dinner.  That’s the downside.  The upside is that if you came here to live at the right time of year (a non-peak time), for a long enough time (more than one month), you could get a weekly rate and it might actually be a rate you could afford.  This hotel (Holiday Inn Express) is nice, but Homewood Suites was nicer.  This hotel offers its guests not just a room (for me, a king-bed room), but also free Internet, free breakfast, and a coffee maker, but there is no kitchen, no microwave oven, and no fridge.  Also, there are no laundry facilities on site.  You need to send your laundry out to get it done and it costs you money to do that.  Otherwise, this hotel is clean, neat, and comfortable, and has a nice lobby and common areas.
