My Vacation Time in Ajax, Ont. in July 2016--Friday July 29, 2016

This is absolutely the LAST DAY that I will ever own my own home.  The only exception is if I can purchase a home of my own FOR CASH.  Since that is not likely to happen, I have to accept that I am no longer a homeowner after today.

Dave picked me up at 8:30 am to go finish the cleaning of my house, which will not be mine anymore soon.  I cleaned the basement by first sweeping it, then vacuumed the bedroom, which is carpeted, and then cleared out the fridge, picked up the rest of Kyle’s stuff under the stairs, and then cleaned the fridge and stove, and finished up with cleaning the bathroom.  I really thought this was all the cleaning I’d have left to do, but I was wrong.  The shed out back hadn’t been cleaned out completely yet – Kyle insisted that all his stuff was out, but I think he was wrong.  Since when does a case of beer bottles not qualify as his stuff?

By the afternoon, I was starting to get pissed off royally for a couple of reasons.  Even though Kyle did do multiple dump runs to get rid of stuff, he did not clear everything of his own off my property.  Not only that, Kathy was on the warpath again, probably because of something Kyle had said to her, and she reacted by saying she was not going to babysit the girls today, even though Kim expected her to, and Dave needed her to do so, because I needed to get this huge job done TODAY.   There weren’t going to be any more tomorrows here.  So, Dave had to pick up the girls at his house by noon and look after them till I was finished at my house.

As if this turn of events wasn’t bad enough, I needed to get the old furnace removed, since neither Kyle nor Brent had taken it.  And, there was an old dresser, a shelving unit and a bed frame that all to be removed from the shed.  And, finally, there was the big smelly bag of dog poop that Kyle did not get rid of (that was his responsibility).  So, I ended up calling this company “Just Junk” and they told me that they were willing to pick up anything left behind that needed to be taken to the dump.  It only cost me $338 or something like that, but I really shouldn’t have had to pay for that service at all.

As before, we had to go to my storage area one last time and store some stuff, and then Dave took me home.  I was so hot and so tired by this time that all I wanted to do was take a shower and relax.  I watched my only DVD movie of the day “The Living Daylights” twice in the same day.  After that, I had dinner and then relaxed for the rest of the evening watching “Death Row Stories” on HLN TV followed by “Forensic Files” during the night.  Again, I did not sleep well as my neck was still hurting me and my sinuses were acting up.  I guess I’d better get used to this – going to Europe to travel around won’t make my health issues any easier to bear.

I had to cancel some pending bills at the bank because I won’t be able to pay them on August 2, 2016, which is when they were scheduled to be paid, so I called TD Canada Trust and got one of the operators there to do the cancellations for me.   I thought I’d be getting my money today for the sale of my house, but the lawyer’s secretary kept telling me she hadn’t seen the new owners yet.  Apparently, they were still waiting for their mortgage money and then they were supposed to come in and give her a cheque.  After that, she could cut some cheques that were needed for paying off my mortgage, my CitiFinancial home equity loan, and that pesky HVAC lien that I didn’t see coming until too late.  So, I will get a cheque of my own on Tuesday August 2, 2016, and then I can pay Dave and Brent and James, then my own bills, and then start planning my European tour!
