My Vacation Time in Ajax, Ont. in July 2016--Sunday July 24, 2016

I woke up super early this morning (around 2:45 am) and that’s because I think I fell asleep around 6:00 pm yesterday afternoon.  I had been watching my first DVD movie of the day “Obsessed”, but dozed off and ended up watching it a second time when I woke up.  Then, I watched a second DVD movie “Unfaithful”.  I am planning on taking advantage of the free breakfast the hotel offers (served between 7:00 and 10:00 am on weekends).  After I check out of this hotel, I am planning on going to Brent’s place on Sunday July 31st to babysit James for the week since Brent has to work.  Brent told me he’ll pick me up here at around 9:30 am.

I am still pretty tired from all the moving we did yesterday.  The six of us moved my stuff into storage, including furniture, boxes, clothes, bedding, etc.  Brent, Ty, Sirah (Ty’s girlfriend), John, and James all helped a LOT and I am so thankful that there is a God and He loves me!  It was pretty hot out and there was quite a bit of stuff to move, but we did it for the most part.

I went for my first free breakfast this morning shortly after 7:00 am after my movie “Unfaithful” was finished.  I had raisin toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, orange juice (3 cups), coffee, and grabbed an apple and orange for later on.  I’m not sure yet what I’m doing for dinner, as, I don’t have much money and I need to use up whatever food I can cook on the hot-plate.  But, tomorrow (Monday), I can take advantage of the light dinner that will be served to hotel guests in the dining room downstairs.  It’s available between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Monday to Thursday only, for the hotel’s guests that are staying here during that time.  This is perfect for me since I don’t have to pay for dinner here and I won’t have any real money anyway till Friday July 29th, the closing date for the sale of my house.

After breakfast, I came back upstairs and watched my third DVD movie “Working Girl”, intending afterwards to pay some of my overdue bills online on the TD Canada Trust web site, but I was having lots of problems connecting to that site and ended up calling the hotel’s Internet Support line a couple of times to get the help I needed.  I am supposed to be able to get free Internet access at the hotel, but I wasn’t able to get to the login page so that I could be identified on their wifi system as a hotel guest.  Finally, however, I got the Internet access I needed by providing the Internet Support guy with my laptop’s Mac (hardware) address so that he could make my computer accessible without a login.  This means I can access the Internet without having to login every day I’m here till I check out.

I like this hotel – except for the Internet problems I’ve had – and I’m thinking of booking myself in here again in August (the 20th till September 5th or 6th).

I called Dave today to give him an update on my move yesterday.  I left a message on his voicemail and he called me back right away.  He told me he’s at Maryann’s cottage for the weekend and would be back sometime on Monday.  He said we could start cleaning up and also remove the curtains from the windows, the big picture in the living room, the boxes of food on the floor, and the cupboards still in the kitchen, which he wants.  Brent wants my mini-fridge, but he’ll have to come and get it by Thursday.  We managed to get rid of the big freezer and the credenza, which nobody wanted, so we took them both to the dump.  Otherwise, we just have to put stuff into Kyle’s trailer that we don’t want or need and then sweep the floors and clean both bathrooms and both kitchens.  I don’t think Kyle is going to clean his basement apartment, so we’ll probably have to do it.  All I know is – WE MUST BE DONE BEFORE FRIDAY JULY 29th because that is when the new owners take possession.  All of our stuff must be gone by that date.

I’ll also have to see the real estate lawyer, Sheldon Stein, on Thursday July 28th to sign the final closing papers and turn in a key to the property.  Once I get my money for the sale of my property, I can start to make plans for travelling to Europe in September!

For dinner tonight, I ordered a large veggie pizza from Boston Pizza and charged it to my MBNA MasterCard (I had to verify that I had room on my credit card first).  After receiving it, I ate while watching my fourth DVD movie “Pacific Heights”, but fell asleep on the couch after dinner during this movie.  After that, I watched my fifth DVD movie “Overboard”.  I had another shower before it was finished, however.  Then, I remembered that I still had to change my address on the Veridian web site so that Dave can receive my last bill in the mail and pay it.

My sixth DVD movie of the day was “Employee of the Month”.  I started watching my seventh DVD movie “The Man with the Golden Gun” after that, but was too tired to finish it and went to bed just after 12:00 midnight.  Tomorrow (Monday July 25th), I hope to finally find the time to listen to my audio book sometime this week – you know, the one I made last summer! It’s about time, right?
