DAY
6 – Friday January 6, 2017:
This is the last full day I’ll be spending at
Brent’s home for a while. Tomorrow
morning, I am going home and getting myself ready for our trip a week from
today, Friday January 13, 2017. I can
hardly wait!
Today, James and I slept in again because we both
went to bed late last night. Brent, of
course, had crashed about 9:30 pm, so he missed most of the Gold Medal game
between Canada and the US. That was
quite a game and something I’m sure I wouldn’t normally see except at the NHL
Stanley Cup finals. The game ended in
overtime and a shootout and the US won the shootout, so they won the gold.
James and I had breakfast, and then I washed the
dishes. James had gotten dressed when he
got up and I got dressed after doing the dishes. Then, I took off for the convenience store,
which was about fifteen minutes away, to get some bread and syrup. James’ friend, Jayden, had come over to play
video games with him for the afternoon.
I warmed up the leftover pizza from Brent’s birthday feast. There was just enough for James, Jayden, and
me for a sort of late lunch.
Brent is planning on going out tonight and he wants
me to make dinner for James and me, so I thought I would make pancakes and
bacon for dinner. Brent says he doesn’t
care what I make for dinner – it’s our choice.
I have yet to call Johnson Unifund to obtain a
tenant’s home insurance policy for my apartment’s contents, so if I don’t do it
today, I will have to do it early next week, but I am going to do it as soon as
I can.
I will have to get my hair cut and dyed, see Dr.
Ching on Monday morning with Dave, do some laundry, and then pack my suitcase
by Thursday. On Thursday, I have to see
Jason, my chiropractor, in the morning and later that day, check into Homewood
Suites in Ajax since that is where I’ll be picked up by Brent and James and
Dave for our trip to the airport very early on Friday morning. That location is easier for them to pick me
up at than York Mills station since the subway doesn’t run that early in the
morning.
